The latest method for removing fat with a laser is called SmartLipo. The technique has been used greatly in South America and Europe in the past decade and recently become available in the United States. Laser Lipo in Sanford rapidly dissolves the fat and tightens the surrounding skin involving the use of a laser which is completed in an office, does not require the use of general anesthetic, and is considered completely safe.

To be considered for a candidate for Sanford Body Sculpting , the person should be in good health, not obese and have an active lifestyle. There also must be a pocket of fat that needs to removed. SmartLipo is a modern and effective method to remove fat from areas of the body that otherwise would be hard to lose.

SmartLipo was created to specially remove and treat pockets of fat in the following areas; the waist, hips, buttocks, upper arms, face, male with breasts, chin, back of neck, pubic mound, inner and outer thighs. As much as 3500 mls of fat is able to be removed each time with SmartLipo. Being able to remove localized fat and dissolve targeted areas in a single session, SmartLipo is ideal for anyone willing to make a drastic, but painless change in their appearance.

SmartLipo is not considered an effective procedure for individuals with diabetes, blood disorders, kidney problems, heart problems, skin disorders or liver problems. The removal of fat is semi-permanent. The best way to successfully keep the fat away that was treated with SmartLipo is to continually exercise and live a healthy lifestyle. There is no procedure that can permanently remove all of the fat cells.

SmartLipo is performed inside an office or clinic. The fatty areas targeted are marked and numbed with a local anesthetic. The laser, a pen held device, is fired close to the skin, breaking up the fat cells. The fluid is drained away by the body's natural system, and the laser also allows for less bleeding and swelling by gelling the blood vessels together. The procedure allows for a quick recovery time, as patients encounter minimal bruising and pain free. Results are seen immediately as the treated areas appear tighter, but to see best results the process takes 6-8 weeks.
